Heard this song on 89.3 the current–my home state radio station ya’ll should check it out–while I was driving and it seemed to fit the mood of my day. Hope you enjoy!

I’d love to be more secular, but it’s hard to ignore RUN-DMC around Christmas because of this song. Face it, this song is a classic.

This band is from Portland Oregon and has a sound that is infused with jazz and blues influences but still carries a really modern feel. Sallie Ford’s voice is reminiscent of old icons like Etta James, not for everyone, but I find it refreshing and raw as compared to the sweet sounding indie babes of late.

This song is one of those ones that once I start listening to I just can’t stop–there is just something so truthful about the lyrics (not to mention its fantastic to run to).

Macklemore is playing in Denver this Friday, the only problem is that the show is sold out already. For those of you who don’t have tickets, you can spend your Friday night watching this video. It’s a remix of “Otherside”, featuring Fences.

This is a masterly song in itself, but the video is beyond wowza and features mask-wearing tribesmen, sentimental kudus and ginormous saxophone-schreeching eels.

This is a new song from Deer Tick released last week. You know the video is going to be good when they release two versions of it, one of which has UNCENSORED in the title. This picture is a screenshot from the video to give you a feel. Lots of explosions and things breaking, so check it out.
