This track is super smooth. It is a little tough to categorize so perhaps I’ll let Miguel’s description speak for itself. He says his music is “fly, funkadelic, intergalactic-hip-hop-meets-sexy-orgasmic crazy, dope shit.” At least on this song I have to agree. Check out the video too.

"Youth Without Youth" is the new single from Metric's forthcoming album, Synthetica. The band was very influenced by 60s Radical architecture and design (hence the album art) as well as the realities of the modern and super-modern age.

Synthetica is Metric’s fifth studio album and will be released on June 12 on the band’s own label. Justin Broadband created the precise and disorienting images for the album artwork.

I just had to share this remix by the electronica musician of the moment, Nicolas Jaar. The techno beats and subtle pauses layered over the ever-present bass will have you hooked. This particular intro sounds like bricks being sauteed with butter in a hot pan and the entire song is in fact a delicious treat for the ears— enjoy. If you like this check out the original beat by Shlohmo from the 'Vacation' EP.

Finn Riggins met at the Univ. of Idaho and formed as a three-piece, and then eventually relocated to the biggest city in Idaho (you guessed it!): Boise. Benchwarmers was released on Portland’s Tender Loving Empire on April 21.
